A couple months ago I was carrying what I felt was an insane level of stress.
My coach, Drew McClure, gave me this analogy that stress is a lot like weight in the gym. Why do we go in the gym day after day, lift weights, and throw plates on a bar and get UNCOMFORTABLE?
Because we want to get stronger?
Because we want to look better?
Be healthier?
It's different for everyone but for those that want to change something about themselves for the better, that time in the gym is rarely comfortable.
Growth is NEVER comfortable.
For those out there stressed & feeling uncomfortable because they're on a new level in their lives right now, LEAN INTO THAT DISCOMFORT.
You'll acclimate to it.
What I carry now I couldn't imagine carrying 2 years ago.
And the things I'll carry in 2 years will likely make me wonder why the stress today felt so overwhelming. It's just new & heavier than I'm used to.
We'll never get to a new level if we don't acclimate to the stress on this one.
And we can't acclimate if we avoid it.
Once you build yourself up to that new level, you become someone that can always pick up & carry that weight.
